- Click Compress PDF.
- Download the smaller PDF.
Why 1,000 KB and not 1,024?
Some sites count 1 MB as 1,000 KB and others as 1,024 KB. Aiming for 1,000 KB means the file is accepted either way.
What to expect
In our tests a 13.9 MB five-page phone scan came down to 949 KB and a 9.9 MB report full of photos to 996 KB, both with only their pictures resampled; the report’s text stayed selectable. Documents that are mostly text are usually under 1 MB already.

Frequently asked questions
Will the quality drop?
Photos are resampled to a sensible resolution; text and lines stay sharp. At 1 MB most documents look the same on screen.
Can I email it afterwards?
Yes. Under 1 MB is small enough for any email service.
Can I compress several PDFs to 1 MB at once?
Yes. Add several PDFs; each one is compressed to the target separately and they download together in one ZIP file.
