University and scholarship portals ask for transcripts, certificates and ID as PDFs under a size limit. Drop your scans and photos and PaperWingPDF makes one PDF that fits.
How to prepare documents for a university application
- Choose or drop your documents: PDFs and photos of documents both work.
- Check the size limit: 2 MB is already selected. Pick the limit your form shows if it differs.
- Put the files in order, then click Make upload-ready.
- Download the single PDF and upload it.
Why university uploads fail
Admissions systems often accept 1–5 MB per document. Multi-page transcripts scanned in colour are usually too big. Choose the limit your portal shows.
If it still won’t fit
- Turn colour scans into black and white: tick Black and white, or use Grayscale PDF first.
- Remove pages the form doesn’t need with Remove pages.
- Upload one document per field instead of combining everything.
- Rescan at 150–200 dpi instead of using a large colour photo.
Private by design
Passports, bank statements, transcripts and ID cards are exactly the documents you shouldn’t upload to an unknown website. PaperWingPDF does all the work in your browser, so nothing leaves your device.
Why PaperWingPDF
- Private by design

Frequently asked questions
Can I combine all my semesters into one transcript PDF?
Yes. Add every page or photo, drag them into order and make them upload-ready as one PDF.
Will my grades stay readable?
Yes at most limits. For very small limits, tick Black and white, which keeps text clearer than colour at the same size.
