About PDF quiz maker
In Chrome with its built-in AI, the questions are written by the on-device model from different parts of your document, each with four options and a short explanation. Without the AI, PaperWingPDF builds fill-in-the-blank questions from the document’s most important sentences, with names, numbers and key terms from the same document as the wrong options.
Each question shows the page it comes from, so learners can go back and read more. The Word file can be edited before you print or share it.
The options explained
- Number of questions
- How many questions to make. Short documents may give fewer questions than you ask for.
- Add an answer key
- Adds a page at the end of the download with the correct answer to every question and its page.
When to use it
- Revising for examsTest yourself on a chapter and see straight away what you missed.

They come from your document, but check them before you use them in class, especially AI-written questions.
Can I edit the quiz?
Yes. Download the Word file and change anything before you print or share it.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Run OCR PDF first so the text can be read, then make the quiz.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The quiz is made in your browser.
Is PDF quiz maker free?
Yes. PDF quiz maker is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. PaperWingPDF processes your files inside your browser, on your own device. They are never uploaded, and they are cleared from memory when you close the tab.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. PaperWingPDF works in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone, with nothing to install.
