01Why Paperwing exists

Most online PDF tools ask you to upload your files to their servers. For contracts, invoices, ID copies, medical records and audit reports, that is a real risk, and it is no longer necessary: today’s browsers are powerful enough to do the work themselves.

Paperwing was built to show that. Every tool runs inside your browser, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and there is no account to create.

02Who is behind it

Paperwing is built and maintained by an independent developer, not a large company. Every release is checked by an automated test suite that runs each tool in real browser engines, inspects the files it produces and confirms that no document leaves the device.

03How it is paid for

Paperwing is self-funded. Because your own device does the processing, there are no file-processing servers to pay for, so running the site costs very little.

The tools stay free, with no watermark, no daily limit and no sign-up. If a way to support the project is ever added, such as optional donations, it will never put a core tool behind a paywall or involve selling your data.
