01The service
Paperwing provides free PDF tools and a standards Gap Assessment that run in your browser. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
02Your files and your responsibility
You keep all rights to your files, and you must have the right to process any file you use.
Do not use Paperwing to process illegal content, infringe copyright, change documents you are not authorised to change, or forge signatures.
03Electronic signatures
The Sign tool places an image of your signature on a PDF. It does not create a certified or qualified digital signature. Whether it is legally valid depends on the document and the law where you use it.
04Gap Assessment results
The Gap Assessment is a self-assessment aid. Its scores, reports and guidance are not an audit, certification or legal advice, and they do not guarantee that a certification body will certify your organisation.
Standard names such as ISO 9001 belong to their respective owners. Paperwing is not affiliated with or endorsed by ISO or any certification body.
05Automatic results
Translations, OCR text and AI summaries are produced automatically and may contain errors or miss context. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial or official documents without review by a qualified human translator.
You must have the right to translate any document you use.
06Acceptable use
Do not try to disrupt or overload the site, exploit weaknesses in it, copy it to impersonate Paperwing, or scrape it automatically.
07No warranty
The tools are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Conversions may not be perfect, especially for complex layouts or scanned documents. Always check the result and keep your original files.
08Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Paperwing.
09Intellectual property
The Paperwing name, logo and site design belong to us. The site uses open-source libraries under their own licences: PDF.js (Apache 2.0), pdf-lib (MIT), JSZip (MIT), SheetJS Community Edition (Apache 2.0), Mammoth (BSD 2-Clause), jsPDF (MIT), Chart.js (MIT), Tesseract.js (Apache 2.0), qpdf (Apache 2.0) and PptxGenJS (MIT).
Unlock PDF and Protect PDF are for files you own or are allowed to change. Do not use them to get around protection set by someone else.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If you keep using the site after an update, you accept the new terms.
